Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam) in its effort to enhance the business relationship with its business partners and to promote its financing packages to the public, has today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB).
The MOU between both parties witnessed Bank Islam offering two packages to KDEB, a Special Package for KDEB staff and their subsidiaries, and also Baiti Cakna Home Financing-i , a Housing Financing Package for KDEB’s house purchasers.
Baiti Cakna Home Financing-i which can reduce the customer’s risks against interest, fluctuation Base Lending Rates (BLR) by using a method of sale with a deferred payment plan – monthly installment. The Baiti Cakna Home Financing-i also provides higher financing up to 135% and longer financing period up to 42 years.
According to Bank Islam’s Consumer Banking Division General Manager, Dato’ Wan Ismail Wan Yusoh, the offering of the financing packages to KDEB is to provide greater convenience to KDEB staffs and customers as well as to enhance the business relationship between the two organizations.
“We also expect to aggressively promote our range of housing and fixed asset financing packages. This will in turn position the bank as a premier provider of Islamic banking products and services,” said Dato’ Wan Ismail Wan Yusoh at the MOU signing ceremony. Also present was KDEB Group President, Dato’ Hj Abd Karim bin Munisar.
Dato’ Wan Ismail added that this is also in-line with the Government’s objectives to promote Islamic banking apart from making Islamic banking an integral part of the Malaysian banking system.”
