WHO CAN APPLY THROUGH EXPRESS ONLINE ACCOUNT OPENING?
This tool can be used by anyone who wishes to open an account with Bank Islam regardless of whether he or she is an existing customer of the Bank or not.
CAN NON-INDIVIDUAL (CORPORATIONS) USE AND ESTABLISH RELATIONSHIP VIA THE EXPRESS ONLINE ACCOUNT OPENING?
The application is applicable to Individuals customers only. It is not applicable to other than Individual customers.
WHAT INFORMATION IS REQUIRED FROM CUSTOMERS?
Customers are required to provide their personal particulars and/or spouse’s such as name, address, telephone numbers, occupation and other relevant information.
CAN CUSTOMERS APPLY FOR A JOINT ACCOUNT OR TRUSTEE ACCOUNT THROUGH EXPRESS ONLINE ACCOUNT OPENING?
Yes.. To apply, simply furnish the information of the Joint accountholder(s) or Trustee.
DO I NEED TO VISIT BANK ISLAM BRANCH UPON SUBMISSION OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION?
Yes, you are required to visit any Bank Islam branch within 30 days from the date of your online application.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I VISIT THE BRANCH UPON EXPIRY OF THE 30 DAYS PERIOD?
The validity of the application is 30 days from date of application. If you visit our branch upon expiry of the 30 days, the online application is no longer valid. A fresh application is required to be filled up or applicant may manually apply through a printed form available at the branch.
WILL CUSTOMERS NEED TO BRING ALONG ANY RELEVANT DOCUMENTS WHEN VISITING BANK ISLAM BRANCH?
Please bring along your Reference number, a copy of your NRIC and/ or the Joint Account holder’s NRIC, if applicable. For Trustee Account opening, the child’s Birth Certificate is required.
You are advised to have with you the minimum deposit for account opening. Since the minimum deposit varies from each account, please refer to the minimum deposit information made available in the online application tool.
ARE THERE ANY CHARGES FOR USING THIS ONLINE APPLICATION?
