Interbank Giro (MEPS IBG)
MEPS Interbank GIRO Payment System (MEPS IBG) is an interbank fund transfer system provided by Malaysian Electronic Payment System (MEPS) to facilitate payment and collection processes. This system is open to all BIMB customers to allow fund transfer be done faster, more convenient with security guaranteed.
MEPS IBG enables transaction to be done in digital format for Interbank Fund Transfer. For example, individual customer can debit his or her account in Bank Islam and credit other account without using any supporting voucher such as cheque. Through this system, duration taken to credit certain amount of cash into customer’s account can be minimized especially transaction of outstation account. Maximum amount allowed for each fund transfer is RM100,000.00.
Customers can perform the MEPS IBG service at all Bank Islam branches. Corporate customers who are currently using the Bank Islam Corporate Desktop Banking (E-Banker), able to make interbank fund transfer through MEPS IBG service direct from the system.
